7. High Speed Go-Karts

Racing events and rentals are available at the 3S Go-Kart Track on Park Road, one mile south of Sibbald Point Provincial Park. Drivers must be 15 years or older and have valid identification. Group events available.

HISTORIC SITES

8. Jackson’s Point Drydock, the Marine Railway and the Steamship “Enterprise”

The lower lawn of Jackson’s Landing Bed and Breakfast and the parking area just to the south was once the site of Lake Simcoe’s busiest ship repair drydock.

9. St. George’s Church

A legacy of the sophisticated early settlers of Jackson’s Point, particularly John Mills Jackson and Susan Sibbald, this beautiful and tranquil setting is also the final resting place of authors Stephen Leacock and Mazo de la Roche.

10. Eildon Hall Museum – Sibbald Point Provincial Park

A beautiful collection showing genteel living in the bush in the 1830’s.

11. The Rebel, Samuel Lount – 1791- 1838 (Historic Plaque)

Lount was found guilty of treason after being defeated in a skirmish against the British troops in the failed revolution of 1737.

12. Antique Shop Tour

Starting close to home in Sutton and Pefferlaw and visiting a few neighboring villages we have a list of a dozen shops. You will find some of these shops at Beaverton, Sutton, Cannington, Sunderland and Uxbridge.

14. Hiking on the Nanabush Trails – The Path of the Chippewas.

Nature trails on Georgina Island with more than 2,000 acres to explore and 143 bird species. Begins with a 15 minute ferry boat ride.

15. Georgina Pioneer Village

Life on the south shore of Lake Simcoe in the 1800’s is captured in this historic village. Open June – September.

16. Butterflies and Blooms at Blue Willow

Indoor and outdoor gardens and a 2100 square foot greenhouse specially constructed for housing dozens of types of butterflies. The monarch tag release occurs in September.
